ACE Award Qualifications
The Champion of Excellence (ACE) Award is presented by the Tenant-In-Common Association (TICA). TICA’s mission is to protect the interests of investors and members, promote the quality and integrity of offerings, the common interests of members and provide members with quality education, information resources and networking opportunities.
Award winners are not eligible for nomination for 5 years after receiving the prestigious award.
Broker-Dealer Qualifications

Nomination from someone other than yourself

Minimum of 100 cumulative TIC transactions in 3 years

Minimum of 3 years experience as a broker/dealer, beginning January 1, 2004
-
Must be compliant with the TICA Code of Ethics
-
Must be a current dues-paying member of TICA
-
Must have attended one TI CA Conference AND must attend the 2006 Annual Conference
Registered Representative’s Qualifications
-
Nomination from someone other than yourself
-
Minimum of 24 accumulative TIC transactions in 3 years OR $10 million equity over 3 years
-
Minimum of 3 years in business
-
Must be compliant with the TICA Code of Ethics

Must be a current dues-paying member of TICA
-
Must have attended one TICA Conference AND must attend the 2006 Annual Conference

Broker-Dealer

Training, supervision and mentoring of registered representatives with best practices

Review of all sales and marketing practices and materials

Demonstration of due diligence (DD) process

Investor suitability (client’s net worth, sophistication, etc.)

Property suitability

Written DD procedures, proof that DD is rolled out & implemented

Customer complaint handling

Ongoing investor communication

Ongoing relationship with registered representative and client

Prohibiting representatives from pre-selling during black out period

Adherence to non-cash compensation rules for private transactions

Explain how broker/dealer is working to improve the industry
